Ronaldo Tanchanco
July 12, 2016
Tanchanco, Ronaldo
March 8, 1952 - July 12, 2016
A loving husband, dedicated father, dependable brother and loyal friend, it is with great sadness that the family of Ronaldo Garcia Tanchanco announces his unexpected passing, at the age of 64, on Tuesday, July 12, 2016.
A native of Manila, Philippines, Ron immigrated, together with his family, to Vancouver, Canada, in 1997. Despite moving across the ocean, Ron never allowed distance to degrade his relationships with those back home. He spent much of his time travelling between Manila and Vancouver through the years. He was an avid golfer who, regardless of location, would have likely been found at the driving range or out on the links, depending on the weather. He loved to entertain and delighted in sharing his home and table with friends from near and far.
Ron will lovingly be remembered by his wife Tess, his children, Patrick, Denise (Geoff) and Mark, his siblings, Sonny (John) and Carmela (Jim), along with countless dear friends he has touched throughout his life. Ron is predeceased by his parents, Catalino and Remedios, and his brothers, Rudy and Ricky.
A Celebration of Life for Ron will be held at the Richmond Funeral Home, 8420 Cambie Road, Richmond, on Tuesday, July 19, 2016, at 10:30 am.
