Prakash Ganatra
April 4th 1947 - May 11th 2015
Prakash was born in India on April 4th 1947. He was the only son and loved dearly by his parents and four sisters. He immigrated to Canada in 1973 with only 20 dollars in his pocket and worked hard to become a successful restaurant entrepreneur. Shortly after arriving in Canada he began working at White Spot Restaurants and eventually became the franchisee owner of the Richmond Centre location.
He enjoyed his wife’s Indian cooking, long walks with friends, cracking silly jokes and late nights watching cricket matches. He passed away peacefully with his family by his side. He is lovingly survived in the heart of his beautiful wife Veena; daughters Cynthia (Mark), Amanda (Nathan); adorable granddaughter Chloe and dog Monty. He was a kind and generous man and he will be profoundly missed by all those who had the pleasure of knowing him.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Prakash's memory to the BC Cancer Foundation.
