MARY ELIZABETH GRAYSON

April 21,1927 - October 24,2016

It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of our Mom, Grandma, Great-Grandma, Sister and Friend. Mary passed away peacefully on October 24th at the age of 89 years old. Survived by her children John, Marianne (Peter), Grant (Elena), grandchildren Carly and Molly and great-grandchildren Klaire and Ryder. Mary was predeceased by her husband Thomas Alfred Grayson. Born on the Queen's birthday in Delburne, Alberta to Thomas and Elizabeth McBride, she was the 10th child out of 14 children. In 1950 Mary and Tom were married and moved to the Cora Brown subdivision on Sea Island where they raised their three children. Mary lived an exceptional life, one we should all be so lucky to live. Full of amazing friends, family and grandchildren. Her social calendar was always full and her phone always busy. She was a graceful, beautiful lady whose kindness and warm heart exemplified the woman she was. Grandma, you were our Queen and you filled our hearts with love and laughter. We'll always ask the sun to shine for you, and if we listen very closely, we hope to always hear you humming and singing your tune with the angels.
A Celebration of Life will be held at the Richmond Funeral Home on November 24th at 1pm with refreshments to follow. In lieu of flowers the family asks donations be made to The Heart and Stroke Foundation.
