<div itemprop="description"><br> <br>O’GRADY, Frances Matilda (Cookie) <br> <br>It is with great sadness that we say goodbye to Frances (Cookie) who passed away on Friday, February 10, 2017, at her home, Gilmore Gardens, Richmond, BC. Frances was born in Colborne Township, Ontario on May 14, 1930, and was the youngest of five children. <br> <br>Predeceased in April 2015, by her loving husband of 53 years, Ted O’Grady. Frances was also predeceased by her parents Oliver & Gertrude Cook, her siblings and their spouses Robert (Mildred), Jack (Jean), Frank (Isobel), Bernice (Herb) Davidson, and her niece Patty (Cook) Laurin. Frances is survived by several nieces and nephews; great nieces and nephews; and great, great nieces and nephews. <br> <br>Frances worked at Shaunessey Hospital in Vancouver first as an LPN and then as a ward clerk from 1954 until her retirement in 1985. Frances touched the lives of many and will be greatly missed. <br> <br>The family would like to extend our thanks and gratitude to Ingrid Rasmussen and Bob & Sharon Hattrick for being such wonderful and caring friends to our beloved Aunt Frances. Also to the staff of Gilmour Gardens and the Nurse Next Door Home Care Services for the wonderful care provided. <br> <br>The funeral service is Monday, Feburary 20, 2017, at the Richmond Funeral Home. Visitation at 10:30 am followed by the celebration of Frances’ life at 11:30 am. Internment to follow at the Valley View Memorial Gardens, Surrey, BC. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to your favourite charity. <br></div>
