MACKEN, Maureen Audrey
It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Maureen Audrey Macken on June 12, 2015 with family by her side. Born February 23, 1927, she was predeceased by her husband Jim and leaves behind a brother, Barrie Jackson (Louise), and her children Gerry (Leslie Bennett), Kathy Dahle (John), Chris (Terry), Patrick (Caroline) and Tony. She was a devoted mother, grand and great- grandmother who was involved and encouraging in all their lives. While younger, basketball and baseball kept her busy, but she turned her interest to tennis when she met Dad and continued for over 40 years, making sporting memories and friendships to last her lifetime. She was also very involved in church and CWL activities that gave her great comfort, purpose and lifelong friendships. She is now reunited with the Lord. Funeral and Mass is Thursday, June 18, 2015 at 10 a.m. at St. Paul's Church, 8251 St. Alban's Road, Richmond. In lieu of flowers, donations to Alzheimer Society of Canada or her favourite charity, Covenant House, would be appreciated.
