Born in Viceroy Saskatchewan, October 19, 1945 Arne Bakke died peacefully on January 19, 2017. He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Lillian Bakke, three bothers, Ed, Luke, and Norman, and is survived by his loving wife Barb, loving son Tommy, his sister Norma Covlin, of Balgonie, Saskatchewan, many nieces and nephews, and by all those living who had the pleasure of meeting this wonderful, caring man who had the kindest heart and the most gentle of souls.

Arne always followed life’s golden rule of doing unto others without ever a hint of “what’s in it for me”. He was a family man, animal lover, retired bank vice president, Freemason and tireless volunteer who generously gave time to many associations and charities. Arne took great pleasure and pride in caring for his yard and woodworking projects, enjoyed golf, and was a passionate supporter of the CFL’s Saskatchewan Roughriders. His friends and family miss his humble spirit, his engaging sense of humour, dry wit, and his inspiring ability to always see the good in others.

Arne would appreciate any donations to Shriners Hospital for Children Canada (Charitable Reg. #: 14101 3680 RR0001) or, volunteer your time to help with the Freemason’s Cancer Car program.

We will gather at 7:00pm on Thursday, March 16 to celebrate Arne's life at the Masonic Hall, 6730 No. 3 Road, Richmond, BC.
